Rally for our Rights 2023

Progress PA  and the Shaler Dems will hold the second annual Rally for our Rights on August 17th at Millvale Riverfront Park. The event begins at 5:30pm with speakers starting at 6pm.

We held this event last year to draw attention to the attack on women’s reproductive rights. Since then, the threat to so many of our rights has only gotten more severe. The recent Supreme Court decision gutting Affirmative Action and attacks on LGBTQIA+ rights highlight the importance of electing candidates that will fight for our rights.

This rally will be an opportunity for us to stand up and speak out to defend:

·       The siege LGBTQIA+ rights

·       Reproductive rights

·       BIPOC rights

·       Disability justice

·       Free and fair elections

·       Immigrant rights

·       Environmental justice

This year’s emcee is Allegheny County Council member Bethany Hallam.
